STEFFCA A/S was founded in 1993 by Kurt Steffensen to supply packing solutions for stoves, boilers, and wood-burning stoves for the Scandinavian market.
STEFFCA was named a Gazelle company for the first time in 2002. This is a recognition of companies that, during four financial years, have experienced positive growth and achieved an overall doubling of turnover over those four years. STEFFCA has won several Gazelle awards since then.
MORE SPACE NEEDED
In 2005, product development and expansive growth of the product range resulted in relocation to new, bigger premises in Nyborg, where STEFFCA now markets industrial insulation solutions based on modern textile technology.
In 2008, STEFFCA took over the Evi Pak gasket factory in Esbjerg, and in 2009 the production and warehouse facilities were moved from there to expanded premises at the business in Nyborg.
GENERATIONAL CHANGE IN 2008
A generational change also occurred in 2008, when Dorthe and Kurt Steffensen handed over the management of STEFFCA A/S to their sons, Mikkel and Martin.
INITIATIVE AWARD AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES
In 2020, STEFFCA A/S won DI Fyn’s Initiative Award. The coronavirus crisis that same year came as a shock to many companies. Employees being sent home, the closure of export markets, and uncertainty.
STEFFCA seized the opportunities in a difficult situation, as we began producing protective equipment as a face shield. This enabled us to turn a threatening downturn into an upturn and development. At the same time, STEFFCA A/S contributed to resolving an issue critical to society, as protective equipment was in very short supply.
DEPARTMENT IN GERMANY
At the beginning of 2023, we expanded to the German market, specifically Munich. We already have a healthy business in Germany. Still, with our new growth strategy, it is essential to have a physical presence better to strengthen our position in the German B2B market.
GROWTH CONTINUES, BUT VALUES REMAIN THE SAME
Turnover and number of employees have increased in line with the business area's expansion. Still, there has been no change in STEFFCA’s objective always to focus on the best service, high quality, focused innovation, and fast delivery.
