We are proud that STEFFCA has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for the second year in a row. It is another recognition of our sustainability efforts by one of the world’s most recognised providers of sustainability ratings.

“It is important for us to have our sustainability performance assessed on an ongoing basis. I am therefore extremely proud that, with another Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, we are now among the top 22% of companies assessed worldwide. This confirms that we are on the right track and motivates us to raise the bar even further.”
– CEO and co-owner Martin Steffensen.

For us, sustainability is about taking responsibility for our employees, our environmental impact and the decisions we make as a company, both now and in the long term.

We are committed to taking our climate efforts seriously, and we have therefore, for the first time, set a clear target for our own operations.
We will reduce our CO2 emissions in Scope 1 and 2 by 30% by 2030, using 2022 as the baseline year.

We have already taken several concrete steps. We have transitioned to district heating and are phasing out natural gas in our own operations from summer 2025. At the same time, we cover 100% of our electricity consumption with wind energy purchased from wind turbines at the Port of Odense, and we have installed solar panels on our new buildings to increase our own production of renewable energy. In addition, we are continuously working to improve the energy efficiency of our processes and equipment.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest platform for sustainability ratings, assessing companies’ performance in the areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The platform has assessed more than 150,000 companies worldwide.
