STEFFCA’s customised insulation solutions are designed to fit precisely the units they are intended to insulate, such as manifolds, turbochargers, flexible pipes, and exhaust systems. The jackets are manufactured from fire-retardant materials, contributing to increased safety on board. This ensures not only optimal and efficient insulation, but also a safe and improved working environment—even in the most demanding areas.
SATISFIED CUSTOMERS
Shipping companies such as Maersk, DFDS, Scandlines, Scandlines GmbH, and Molslinjen have already chosen STEFFCA’s insulation jackets due to their proven quality, developed and optimised over many years. Our specially designed solutions are manufactured to the highest standards and undergo strict quality control, ensuring a durable and efficient solution that meets even the toughest requirements.
ADVISORY SERVICES
At STEFFCA, you gain access to specialists with deep technical expertise and many years of experience in insulation solutions for the maritime sector. We advise shipping companies daily on everything from measurement and material selection to optimal positioning and installation—always based on your operational requirements and operating conditions. In close collaboration with our customers, we continuously develop and adapt our solutions to meet the industry’s demands for quality and operational reliability.
IMPROVED WORKING ENVIRONMENT
With STEFFCA’s insulation jackets, you ensure the best possible working conditions for the crew. Our customised jackets are designed to reduce high temperatures in engine rooms by effectively encapsulating heat from engines. In addition, the jackets reduce noise and vibrations, which are often a significant strain on crew members on board.
APPLICATION
The insulation jackets are easy to remove during service and maintenance, as they can be dismantled without the use of tools. The Velcro and metal springs are easily released, providing quick access to the engines, and the insulation can be refitted just as easily afterwards.
READY FOR HOTSPOT REPORT REQUIREMENTS
New requirements from International Maritime Organization (IMO) mean that all vessels must prepare a hotspot report to identify surfaces with temperatures above 230°C. These areas must be insulated to minimise fire risk and ensure better working conditions on board.
Based on the measurements in the report, STEFFCA customises an insulation solution and quotation that brings the installations into compliance with the requirements. We supply and install effective, fire-retardant insulation jackets that reduce surface temperatures and ensure proper shielding.
TESTED BY Teknologisk Institut
STEFFCA’s insulation jackets have been tested by Teknologisk Institut, ensuring objective documentation and independent calculations of the insulation performance.
